Meet Dr. Norton
Owner, Ophthalmologist
Dr. Norton received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi in Jackson, where he also completed a one-year internship in Internal Medicine. He had his residency at Texas Tech University training in ocular surgery and diseases of the eye.
Dr. Norton also trained at Stanford University, Department of Ophthalmology, University of Wisconsin, Department of Ophthalmology, Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio.
Dr. Norton is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has spent years extending his training in the area of facial/oculoplastic surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is state president of Louisiana Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Norton has been married for over 20 years to Amy Norton and has two sons. He is a member of Rotary Club and a vestry member of Saint James Episcopal Church.
Dr. Norton is a founding member of Louisiana Eye and Laser and has been in private practice for over 25 years. During that time, along with other owners and team members, Louisiana Eye and Laser grew from two locations to sixteen locations. Revenue generation advanced from $5 million per year to $27 million—and still growing.
